that particular book is like a diary for me it has results,attendances, city team and scorers every season up to 2001/2,love the years from 64 onwards when l saw my first game ,and at 20 pound would in my opinion be worth every penny

It is very tempting. I love the traditional stats side of football. Not so much the modern in depth stuff, which ultimately, is fairly meaningless.

Permanently, on the corner of my desk, is a copy of Barry Hugman's PFA Players Records 1946 - 2005. A lot of what is in there is on Wiki these days, but the book is a goldmine of info and so easy to dip into and browse.
