Well, here's the thing. For all the scaremongering, those claiming workers rights will go down the pan conveniently ignore British maternity leave for example is far beyond the minimum EU level. Surely the evil government would've cut it to the bare minimum as proscribed by EU law at the time, right? Or does that example undermine the claims?

So what you’re saying is the fact that the U.K. has decent maternity in terms of weeks (quite poor in terms of how many weeks you have to take though), this can be taken a guarantee that no degradation of workers rights in other areas, or indeed in other areas of employment law relating to maternity, will take place in the future?
