Ok I make that about 14 people so far that have shown an interest. Good enough I think. Pretty sure a few more of the regulars will get involved once it’s up and running so I’m going to have a think tomorrow and get it sorted over the next few days.

Cheers for all the comments so far. All taken on board and keep them coming if you‘ve got any other suggestions.

A few points.

1. I think it should be free to enter. I’m sure we could generate more potential winnings if people paid to play but I’d rather make it simpler and available to everyone.

2. While it’s all just a bit of fun, a financial incentive for the winner (or winners) will make it more worthwhile and probably make people more likely to enter. I’m happy to put up a modest prize pot myself for the winner - I might even hand deliver the winnings if it involves a trip to Barry’s Island.

3. Any other suggestions on the allocation process would be welcome - EYF’s number generator idea seems good but if there’s a simpler way then let me know.

4. Obviously it’ll be first come first served so everyone that has responded to this thread so far will be guaranteed a pick. I make it about 10 spots left so anyone that hasn’t put themselves forward can do so on here. Once I’ve got 24 players then that’s it.

Wondering if anyone would be interested in having a sweep for the Euros. Not exactly sure how it could work but I’d be willing to give it a go. Maybe there could be some credits on offer for the winners or just for fun?

I’m thinking I could write down the teams randomly and allocate them based on the order in which people respond to the official thread I put up? Hopefully that would work.

Also if we don’t get 24 people interested then maybe I could discount the teams that don’t really have a chance (Macedonia, Scotland, England etc.) so we haven’t got unpicked teams.

Haven’t really thought it all through atm - just wondering if it’s something people would be interested in doing.

If anyone is interested then let me know so I can see if it’s worth sorting. If so I’ll get it organised over the next few days.
