It's very strange. Someone told me yesterday he was to be sacked before the weekend. Suggests there has been a significant deterioration in relations or the club is up shit creek [could well be wishful thinking though].

It would make sense. Swansea’s finances down the sh*tter, leave while your reputation is still intact and manage your country to a World Cup the jobs he was linked with have been filled so not sure what else he’s going to do

Had a convo with a Jack in work a couple of weeks ago about Cooper being potentially Wales' best option. He's got national team experience with the England u17s too (Cooper, not the Jack).

Still don't see it happening though, sadly.

How good an appointment would Cooper be for Wales? Initially I thought it'd be a good appointment as probably a step up on Page. But on reflection whilst he's done OK with the Jacks , he hasn't achieved much and faltered under pressure of play offs a few times. That's not to say he's not a decent manager but not sure that he'd get us to a World Cup or he's the best option. He might get it on the basis of being cheap though.
