A player who joined the club during non-league days from Glossop, who had spotted him playing for Macclesfield, appearing primarily as an inside forward. Once the First World War was over and football resumed he never featured as anything much more than a reserve player despite a few sporadic first team matches. He went on to play 23 League matches for Aberdare Athletic, scoring just the one goal. He later played non-league for Fordsons before leaving the game.
