At the end of the 1915-16 season the Board of Directors take the decision to withdraw from the wartime competition leagues. It is decided to play fixtures on an ad hoc basis when a team can be raised and suitable opposition can be found. Fred Stewart agrees to remain resident in Cardiff and run the side on this basis. The clubs affairs are placed in order to reflect this new situation. In the event, only seven matches are played.
