WWI Wartime fixtures

Season 1918-19 - Friendlies

No fixtures are played prior to the ending of hostilities. Once WW1 comes to an end though, City immediately begin to place the club in a position to return to normal. The Southern League authorities decide that as it will take at least a year for demobilisation to take effect fully, the League will not start until the August of 1919. As players are released from the armed forces over the winter more games start taking place and Fred Stewart slowly starts to assemble his team for the 1919-20 Southern League campaign.
