Another amateur plucked from Welsh League football in the post war years. He was an inside forward signed at a time that City were desperate for a goalscorer to replace the departed Stan Richards. He was top scorer in the 1949-50 season which included a spell on loan at Torquay United where he played 12 matches scoring 6 goals. He was yet another cashed in asset when he went to West Bromwich Albion in June 1952, a move prompted by a good performance against them in the F.A. Cup. In 3 seasons at West Bromwich though, he only made 17 League appearances in which he scored 3 goals. He moved on to Wrexham in June 1955 and made 34 League appearances for them in which he scored 13 goals, before joining Southport in December 1956. He finished playing there at the end of the 1956-57 season, after another 13 League appearances.
