The chart goes from the brexit deal you buffoon.
Its gov. UK. Ffs.
Not from when the public voted, from when the Boris got it over the line and we were officially out with the oven ready deal.
Ive quoted gov.uk son.
Ironically you quoted Durham University, the same place I took the piss out of your leader @TH63 for quoting professor Tom from hmmmmmmmmmmmm
The ‘Dublin III Regulation’ and all other aspects of the Common European Asylum System will no longer apply to the UK from January 2021.
The Regulation’s purpose is to ensure that an asylum application is only considered by one of the participating states (the EU member states plus Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland).
It sets a hierarchy for determining which state should be responsible for processing an asylum application. It gives greater importance to family reunion than which country an asylum seeker first entered. The Regulation also sets out transfer processes and timescales.
What future UK-EU co-operation did the Government want?
The Government (That’ll be the Tory government) did not want to replicate the provisions of the Dublin Regulation.

Our access to the agreement expired once Britain left the EU, and your mate Joris put nothing in its place. People traffickers spotted the opportunity almost immediately, offering to take people to a country, Britain, from where they could no longer be sent back.
The reason nobody in this thread has come up with any small boat statistics pre-brexit is because there were no small boats before brexit.
Your pal Joris and his mate Nigel were so desperate for power, they forgot about that little detail in the “oven-ready” deal.
The small boat journeys started the minute we left the EU.
Turkeys voting for Christmas.
Or put another way, Racists voting to have more illegal immigrants.

Thats because, technically, under the EU, the boat boys were deemed as "legal" entrants until forms, passports, big teles and i phones were sorted, hence not appearing in the data you want it to appear in

Under EU law, the migrants had to apply for asylum in the first EU country they arrived at. If any of them snuck into a lorry we coukd send em back.
Brexit put paid to all that.
The French must’ve been laughing their coqauvin’s off
