Thank you to those who had a go at this. There were some interesting line ups, but here is the team that @Joecity considered as being the best balanced, given the limitation of only being able to use a shirt number once.

Nobody came up with this line up exactly and I do think people were drawn into picking the best individual for a number and not considering how he might compliment the others.

Nevertheless, with 10 credits on offer for each player matched with Joe’s team, this is how the participants fared.

There will be a further round of this next based on the shirts 12 – 22.

It's not meant to be the best ever Bluebirds' eleven, just the best team you can make from players who have worn the shirt numbers 1 - 11 in the past seven or eight seasons.

That's the whole point. It is about personal opinion. As it happens, I would also have chosen Andrew Taylor, as I feel he was a much under-appreciated footballer.

SuperKev and Peltier aside, we have had very few full backs who could defend in recent memory, but of the choice available here, in my opinion, Taylor had the best football brain.

He was my player of the season way back when. Not flashy but solid, dependable and consistent.

Hudson over Manga who was the best footballing defender we've had since Gabbidon, and I'm Russel Slade..?..Yeah ok....And same trick every time Noone over an up and down, productive winger like Conway.
