Well I can just hope that anyone who might know has the good sense to not put the figure out and risk breaching any legal agreements between the club and insurers.

I know it was “undisclosed “ but originally I thought it was a reasonably smallish amount maybe a million or two.. however, reading between the lines it might have been a lot more
Without giving the exact amount away does anyone genuinely know the appropriate figure??

I believe it was above the transfer fee hence the reason there are actual monies available in the January window for fees if needed. Dalman stated the club were happy with the outcome of the insurance settlement

When Steve Borley was chairman i got to know the ins and outs of transfers etc by also talking to the club secretaries at the time. When a player is insured its not only for the fee which in Sala's case would have been 5 million for each of the 3 years of the contract he signed. putting aside this tragic episode if say a player signed under the same transfer conditions suffered a career ending Injury then the club would still have to honour his wages etc so thats another part of the insurance package thats always in place. so the actual value of the insurance cover would have far outweighed just the transfer fee. so obviously there has been a compromise and whilst its undisclosed at the moment it will eventually appear in the clubs accounts as its monies coming into the business.

Without sounding heartless here, imho, that was the pilot, after all he KNEW that plane was as dodgy as mckay, and reported as much on arrival at nantes Airport, saying about a loud bang, and cockpit filling with a mist!! Sadly HIS greed sealed both their fates that sad day.The other greedy fucks will hopefully get what's coming too
