That seems a big call but I'd say he'd have a good shout for best City keeper of the last 50 years![]()
tough choice ade 2 good keepersI'm going to say Heaton was better. Marshall had the jersey though.

Tom Heaton to join England's EURO 2024 group
The Manchester United player will travel to Germany with the Three Lions squad as a training goalkeeperwww.englandfootball.com
we've been blessed with good keepers over the years. The best two keepers in the division, and both were here Stants.
Marshall got the shirt though. Remember seeing Heaton at Arsenal in a Cup replay, and he was immense. We lost 4-0, it would have been double figures without him.
still there adeMargetson got the boot then? Good.![]()

Depends how you judge it. Heaton probably better career, Marshall better at CityI'm going to say Heaton was better. Marshall had the jersey though.
In the showersVery good keeper at Championship level. Bit dodgy at times but that’s probably why he spent most of his career in the 2nd tier rather than in the PL.
As above, I think Heaton was the better of the two but the coaches obviously seen something different in training.
Probably the best we have had. That seems a big call but I'd say he'd have a good shout for best City keeper of the last 50 years![]()
Bob Wilson and Farquharson were the only two names that sprung to my mind as competition but you can only judge your own era and even that's hard. I was tempted to go for Gavin Ward, who did have a decent career and was good for us but at a much lower level. I was a kid then di didn't have much to compare him tooProbably the best we have had.
I remember Bob Wilson as a kid I thought he was brilliant but Marshall edges it for me.
We have been fortunate with keepers over the years.
