It’s interesting timing tbh considering they look a lot more likely to be able to absorb that deduction and stay up after their recent run

There appears to be absolutely no consistency with how these things are handed out, and the bigger clubs will have it given to them when it is unlikely to affect a seasons outcome (10 points for Man C would blow their chances of title for example), or if it’s a little club they don’t give a fuck and will not only happily relegate them but make them start following season’s with further deductions

Yeah - they've had a good run, and will have time to turn it around. Although you hope it hits players psychologically, to lose something they worked to win, these things really should mean an end-of-season demotion, and possibly should only be sanctioned at the end of a season.

One win will take them above the absolutely awful Luton and Sheff U. If they do finish in the bottom 3 with fewer than 10 points difference from safety, they'll appeal and likely win back enough points to just stay up.
