First historical event you remember in your lifetime?

World cup 66 was the highlight for me.
In an age where players didn't move around the World ,so you where seeing the likes of Pele,Yashin and Eusebio for the first time

Genuinely can’t think of what the first historical thing I remember was that I actually had an understanding of. I remember watching the news of Bin Laden getting killed but that meant nothing to me. Maybe the Paris attacks in 2015? Was on my way home with my brother from Wales v Netherlands in a friendly and it was all over the radio

the ferry disaster in zubrugge 1987 was scary as we travelled to fance on townsend thorensen evey year. priness dianas i can remember as we were having a party after blisters night club. plus heitzel and hillsborough were shocking to witness.
