I wanted to wait until I did ok before bringing this up, so that it didn’t sound like sour grapes.

Personally, I found the old lottery system a lot more fun.

It’s great having 3 bookies, and I really enjoy taking part.

The problem is that you have to go all in to keep up, and if you have a loser on Monday it is a bit dull until Friday night when the lottery happens. I found that the old system, where you picked up the odd 10k/25k in the week to get you going again a lot more engaging.

Just a thought, Congrats to Melv.

If a system was in place where someone whos blown all their cash on a monday , tuesday, weds and thurs can come back to win then the leaders could theroetically also place the same bets and run away with it.

However, i`ve been creating various specials like the football acca i did on saturday and horse races with more payout places other bets with double the odds ,giving people the chance to do that.

How anyone, in a COMPETITION ,can complain about a format that they cant win through poor choices is bonkers to me


Also @The Colonel can you perform a reset please so i can start some bets

I agree. The main problem with the new system is that if you lose your stash early in the week you’re just waiting for the Friday lottery.

Also if you don’t win anything on the Friday lottery then you’re pretty much done. Having said that though, winning bigger prizes makes for a more exciting end to the competition (just a bit shit if you don’t pick up a winner)

All in all no system is perfect and this way stops people running away with it so I guess that’s a reason to keep it as it is - end of the day it’s a competition so the main objective should be to keep it as competitive as possible right up to the end of the week.

One of the main reasons I stopped doing the daily lottery was because it was throwing up errors, it's not a very well written piece of software and was getting clogged up.

I think with the Friday lotto being only 1 ticket it would probably be alright to go back to a nightly lottery if people want? I don't mind restoring it.
