Tell you what tho, they dont half raise some money for charity. Its absolutely bonkers at times

I had an old boss who was massively into them and talked about them a lot secret stuff aside. He made them sound quite benign to be fair but I'm always interested in people's experience of it.

I enjoyed the gatherings rather than the ceremonies.

I suppose when you go in there and blatantly lie saying you believe in God then the ceremonies was never gonna be for me really.

Like I said tho, after the ceremony, the dinner and booze is great. And I have always liked the company of the older generation, theyll have some fascinating stories.

Masons aside, I can remember doing some kitchens in a council estate, one of the first houses we did was this old woman who had served in the 2nd world war working in munitions.
She told us to go to her house every day for break, bless her, she did a sandwich buffet every single day for 2 weeks for us till we did the last house on the estate.

6 of us, sitting on her sofas and floor, listening to her stories, she was absolutely amazing.
