My daughter got to college around noon only to find they had cancelled the rest of the classes for the day. And there were cancelled trains as well. I don't know what the weather was like north of Cardiff today but all it did was piss down here.

Rain in Caerphilly most of the day. Eased off now. Not one flake of snow.

I'm prepared to be mightily pissed off. Got tickets for Getdown Services in Bristol tomorrow and the V&A Bowie exhibition in London on Saturday. Did occur to me to go in the home end at Orient after the exhibition but it might be risky if we bang a few goals in.

Flew up from Corny earlier...not by flight, I mean in my car, beep beep out my fucking way you rain scared Nissan Micra driving pussys.

Was pretty horrific conditions mind, torrential from start to finish.

Driving to Cornwall on Sunday was worse mind, A30, a main road, not gritted at all nevermind the crap roads/lanes when you come off, ice and snow. Cars abandoned in hedgerows all the way. Luckily I'm a class driver who had the brains to fit winter tyres...in winter...but pretty horrible.

I was sat on a plane ready to set off to the Jewel of North-Rhine-Westphalia: Dusseldorf, when the pilot came out of his cockpit to tell us all to get off & go back to the terminal.

4 pints later, they announced everything was cancelled, so we had to trudge out through the blizzard to the warm embrace of a budget hotel.

Back on our way today, this time the destination has changed to Frankfurt
