No not normal at all, a couple of weeks ago they changed the pickup day around here but it seems they haven't quite ironed the bugs out because for the last two weeks the bins have sat outside for a couple of days before getting picked up.

I would imagine the lads on the truck would have been pretty pissed off about having to work last night, plus it's not exactly a good time for an industrial vehicle to be going down the street and men throwing bins about the place, good job the sound of the gale covered their noise or there would have been complaints

They could collect ours at any time of night and I wouldn't hear them, after 20 years of Steve crashing through the door with disco equipment at all hours of the night I tend to sleep through anything now

Definitely blowy here last night after a week of Spring-like weather. The floor of our "préau" is awash this morning, so the wind must have driven the rain right through. Never seen that before.

(Don't think there is a direct translation for préau. Best described as an open glassless conservatory with a tiled roof)

You think you have problems. One of my wheelie bins moved all of 3ft and the food caddy about 5ft. And to top it all, I'm missing a plastic downpipe drain cover. Guess it's gonna be an insurance job to get everything sorted. Am amazed the fence stayed upright considering its propped up by a a small sundial and half a fig tree

Yes.. He’d kept watch over this garden for 60+ years judging by the state of him. Luckily I live next door to a hard working Polish immigrant who is going to assist me in building a proper wall. Something that Nuggles would also be proud of no doubt.

True story.

Picture the scene. President's cup, first round, I'm playing a low handicapper. Halved the first. We're going down the second, I'm in the middle of the fairway, push my trolley to where my ball is while I go help look for my opponent's. Next thing I hear is a crash, look round, and my trolley and clubs are in a ditch. Fish it all out, trolley won't go, had to concede (I have a tour bag, no way am I carrying that 18 holes).

Another time, I'm putting out on the first green, look round and there's a diverless trolley heading our way with a bloke 300 yards away vainly trying to jog after it, trolley ends up in a greenside bunker
