Anyone have any good recommendations here?

I quite like Indigo Traveller, a bloke who goes to some dangerous places. Just watching his latest video (appears to have been uploaded this week) of a trip to Libya. It is really interesting. His North Korea video is also really good.

Good shout for a thread this, was thinking about doing this thread myself.

I've found myself turning to youtube more and more recently for something to quickly bung on, there's some really good channels on there, people get really inventive when they have no boundaries and it's much more honest viewing than the family-friendly wokefest terrestrial TV is becoming.

Also, while Netflix and Amazon are always trying to "recommend" whatever new show they're trying to push (no Netflix, I don't want to watch Ru Paul's Drag Race ffs, it's like you don't know me at all), I find youtube has a big advantage in knowing what you and people with similar tastes have searched for in the past, they learn your likes and actually recommend intuitive things on their homepage that you would actually enjoy viewing.

I'll have a look and post some of the channels I've enjoyed recently.

Rate my takeaway has been a youtube sensation, he had 200k subscribers in 3 days

Yes, I love that channel. I do worry about his weight though.

Another really good channel I like (they do it better than most) is twinsthenewtrend.

Are they the ones who listen to popular music for the first time? I like them as well. Re Danny his early stuff was great (grandmas kitchen) and the like but they were 1 a week, now he's out every day :hehe: he's heading for a heart attack

A few I subscribe to:

JRE Clips - short clips of some of Joe Rogan’s guests. Some great interviews and bite sized.

YBS Youngbloods - really high quality filming by an Australian lad who documents his life in very rural, coastal Australia. He spends his life free diving, fishing and boating off the Australian coast. Easy watching and beautifully filmed. His girlfriend is hot and spends a lot of time in a skimpy bikini.

Maximus Ironthumper - a chap living off grid in a house he built from scratch. He’s actually a friend of a friend (my mate features in a lot of the videos). His videos are really interesting and cover all aspects of living off grid. He is currently restoring an old Russian Zil truck.

The Food Ranger - Canadian chap travels China (and some other countries) trying the food. Always makes me really hungry.

There’s a few others that I subscribe to but are a little more niche. If anyone has an interest in beekeeping, keeping tropical fish, farming or cooking, I’ll be happy to share.

pop goes the 60s is also really good - the guy does a deep dive on some brilliant songs from the 60s. His deep dive on the "Paul and George" argument is pretty detailed, including in the lead up McCartney complaining his balls had been itching all week.

Report of the Week is brilliant. The guy doing it is really geeky - he is talking about fast food and reviewing. He looks odd, but is likeable in a funny way.

Man, I just started a video on here with a dude pretending to be crazy after he stabbed his mother. :hehe: It's got an hour to run, this could be brilliant.
Yeah there's some humdingers on there. Mostly from the crazy US of course...

I quite like boats, super yachts to be precise. Not that I’d ever own one, but for some reason they interest me, so two I follow are

aquaholic and superyacht captain
