I haven’t seen the remake but the original was a classic with a top cast.

I’m on holiday at the moment in the depths of dodgy WiFi southern Italy - hoping to avoid a quarantine order or lock down - and my phone has given up on cut/paste so someone else have a go. I will be back home with my laptop next week and able to post pictures again. Until then I will have to pass.

Thanks Stanty. We booked this over a year ago for my partner’s 60th (we were supposed to have a Civil Partnership in June after 35 years of sin) but Covid did for that - now rearranged for June 2021.

Italy was worst hit in Europe in March to May but now well down the league table and much safer than the UK, so we decided to go ahead and not cancel. So far everything has been good - much more compliance with masks, distancing and hygiene than the UK - though not perfect. We feel pretty safe. The worst was the Ryanair flight which was full and with many odd ideas about what wearing a mask means.

Still, 2 great days in Naples and 3 on the Amalfi Coast after an almost deserted Pompeii and now in Apulia. On Wednesday we get the train from Bari back to the west coast and 4 days in Serento before a Jet2 flight back to Manchester. Any risk will be the flight again.

I cut the threads list down to 30-odd threads to help with page load speeds.

People on mobiles were having to load about 60 thumbnail images every time they refreshed the page and half the time weren't scrolling down to even see them so it was a bit of a waste of data for them and a waste of bandwidth for us.

The fact nobody mentioned it for a couple of days shows how little impact it had on browsing experience
