@Colonel Cardiffi, a quick query. When opening this thread, in place of the picture, is a 'broken' picture tile with
IMG in [ ] next to it. And yet, now that I am quoting your message, the images have appeared in the quote. Any ideas? This also happens with a few photos in the funny photos thread, but not all. 
If so, try refreshing the page, (do a Hard Refresh if on a PC by holding down CTRL and tapping the F5 button) or try another browser to see if it loads then.
In the meantime, here they are again:

Click Upload A File button below the reply box. Find the image on your phone (or pc) then choose 'Insert Full Image'

I got a laptop, a nice one too, but my @Mrs nugent has lost the charger during one of he bi-daily clean up operations.
She "put it away" apparently , so that's either Narnia or the land that time forgot.
Do you know how to change the folder you're looking in? It might well be a folder named 'Downloads' that you want.

If on a PC you right click an image and copy the image address (or it might say 'Copy Image Location'), then use the 'Paste a link' method to post it on the forum:

Well it sounds like images that you download from websites are being saved to a different folder from the one the screenshots are in.
Do you know how to change the folder you're looking in? It might well be a folder named 'Downloads' that you want.
Haven't got a clue.
I'll have a play around with it now
