I love this reply from Ian Fleming, written in a time long before the internet, even before the telephone or television became common household objects, the letter speaks to a gentler time where people's intentions weren't immediately second-guessed or dismissed as an annoyance or harassment of some sort.

I watched it in one of the cinemas on Queen Street when I was 15 or 16 with my mate. We came out of that theatre feeling quite unhinged, I can tell you. Great film.
