O the subject of unbelievable documentaries, I watched Wild Wild Country a while back.

Story about a load of religious nutters who built their own town in the middle of America.

One of those stories that seem to bizarre to be true.

That woman, the main one who was doing most of the talking on there - fair play to her, balls of steel, literally didn’t give a fuck.

Just watched that new Christopher Nolan film Tenet.

Anybody else who has seen it care to explain the story as I have no idea what just went on. I'm not the best at watching complicated plots especially ones that involve a bit of time travel but bloody hell, that was inpenetrable.

At over 2 hours 30mins I won't be giving it another shot to work it out either

Suburra: Blood on Rome on Netflix worth a watch. Everything you'd expect from.a gangster series but with intelligence, nuance and well rounded characters.

Enjoyed the Queens Gambit too. Complete fantasy but engaging and original.

Just finished Queens Gambit. Enjoyed it and surprised to read it hasnt been commissioned (yet?) for a second series

I think it might have been. Looked up the janitor on IMDb as I couldn't work out where i recognised him from [it was the excellent Looming Tower] and I think it said series 2 was in production.

I know I've recommended it in this thread before but I think it might just be the best tv show I've ever seen.

Watched Eddie Halls documentary before he became the 1st strongest man. What an absolute unit. He wont live past 50 with the amount of shite he ate to get up to 20,000 cals a day.

I know I've recommended it in this thread before but I think it might just be the best tv show I've ever seen.

I'm going to re-watch it when series 3 comes out. I'm terrible for not remembering what's gone on in previous series. Even watching catch ups on youtube doesnt seem to jog my memory. Agree though, excellent but not for everyone. It either floats your boat or will annoy you

I'm the same for forgetting previous series which is why I've been enjoying rewatching the show.

You might as well get stuck in now, there'll be a long wait for season 3 I think.

It depends what Steve liked about Peep Show. The thing that made Peep Show so smart was that Jesse Armstrong portrayed the characters with raw honesty and we got to hear their inner monologue and their thought process was all about how they could manipulate the people around them to get what they wanted.

The characters were human and selfish but it was honest, the more selfish the characters, the funnier the show was. The show Seinfeld tapped into a similar vein in the 90's, people could relate to it because we all have a certain percentage of machiavellian sociopath in us.

With Succession all that is turned up to 11, all the characters are callous, vindictive and ruthless and the moment any of them show the slightest bit of humanity or compassion they get burned for it. It's a visual representation of how the world is set up to allow the worst people to rise to the top.

It's also very subtle, not everything is said out loud, the viewer doesn't get spoon fed the storylines and there is a lot of reading between the lines. It's a very shrewd show and I'd recommend giving it proper attention to get the most out of it.

The Undoing was pretty good but I thought Hugh Grant was very cringe in it though. There’s an incredible looking woman in it with fantastic bangers as well (Matilda De Angelis for those who want to do a bit of “research”).

Watched an episode of “Raised By Wolves” which is a new sort of Sci-Fi futuristic world where human children were raised by androids who look like humans. Started getting pretty dark as well, looking forward to watching more episodes and I don’t usually like that sort of thing. Ridley Scott directed or produced it (one of them) and it had that “Martian” feel (which is a great film btw).
Ragnar Lothbrok from Vikings is in it.
