Anyone watched Kingdom on Netflix? Am on the third series. About an MMA gym in LA.

Occasionally a bit farfetched or daft but a good old fashioned character driven drama that gives insight into different lifestyles. Some good acting by unfamiliar faces.

Just watched `For Life'.

Series based loosely on a true story about a Isaac Wright Jr, a bloke wrongly convicted of a major drug offense. While in prison he became a qualified lawyer and started fighting back.

My son got me into watching 'White Collar' on Netflix. It's not new but it's a really good concept and very clever storylines. It's about the FBI using a convicted fraudster to crack some of their most difficult cases. Be warned there are 6 seasons and I did get a bit hooked on it but I'm retired so had time on my hands....

Spotlight on the troubles: A secret history

BBC-i, 7 parter about the trouble in N.Ireland. Interviews galore with all sides and mental footage of a crazy time in British history. Loads of things I didn't know. Very well made, very watchable.

It's got everything that a gripping tv drama would have, politics, violence, double crosses, kidnaps, assassinations, murder squads, SAS units, beatings, international arms smuggling, money laundering, riots, bomb making. You name it and it's in there by those that did it but it's obviously real life. You couldn't write a film so mental.

I remember it being reported and thinking it was bad but like you say when it's all there, laid out to see it was like the fucking wild west. Excellent documentary.

Mrs TDA and I watched a pilot episode last night. Light hearted to the point of being silly at times, but just the sort of thing we oldies like.

In a similar vein, we are working our way through the second series of Harrow on Prime.

O the subject of unbelievable documentaries, I watched Wild Wild Country a while back.

Story about a load of religious nutters who built their own town in the middle of America.

One of those stories that seem to bizarre to be true.
