Ryan Phillips’s One Mile part one & part two dropped this week, good films if you’re into ex-military type films, Alan Richardson’s War Machine is also a fantastic watch, seen it a few times now it’s that good

Wasn't sure whether to recommend this or not. I thought it was a great fim but can understand why others might feel otherwise.

The Last Duel (2021) is on Disney+ right now, stars Adam Driver, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Jodie Comer, directed by Ridley Scott.

Written by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon but based on a book of the true story of France's last legally sanctioned duel, or "trial by combat," which took place in December 1386.

The film follows Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon), who challenges his friend-turned-rival, Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver), to a duel to the death after his wife, Marguerite (Jodie Comer), accuses Le Gris of raping her.

Since you've only just started watching, keep an eye on the demographics of the bad and good people, you might notice a recurring theme about the white male patients and doctors (apart from the impeccable jewish main character) and bear in mind these are the writers on the show.

Here's a review I posted about it a month ago:

Halfway through the second season, very good stuff, best medical drama I've ever seen. Very well written and a good cast.

Comically woke when it comes to the demographics of the "bad" characters on the show though. Whenever a white male patient comes through it's countdown to finding out what evil thing they've done. Black/female patients are usually highly educated or excel at sport.

At one point in the first season, all the doctors and nurses tearfully gathered around a black patient while he regaled them with inspiring tales of how he and a friend ran free ambulances for the black community in the 60s, while white-trash Trumpian anti-maskers fought each other in the waiting room.
