Not a good start to the season

None are starters this season if we are serious about going for play offs.

I think Collins would have been. But i would be happy to see kpakio in that position.

Etete may have gone out on loan maybe. Thats put pay to that.
It also puts us in a situation of being forced to pay top dollar for a striker because agents will try to advantage of us.

If Etete had gone on loan, we would still be a striker down, so the gap would still have been needed to be filled.

I thought Kpakio looked dodgy defensively against Reading. He was left for dead by their winger a couple of times. Looks great going forward, but, in reality, nowhere near ready for the Championship.

The other point is that Kpakio is a right back and we have plenty of cover at LB without having to expose an inexperienced youngster to an unfamiliar position.

There's a definite improvement over last season but it is work in progress. We need to be rid of the players who don't have a good first touch.

Last season I thought Collins was a bit dodgy to be honest.
He is ok but only ok.

He started off looking world class for a few games, then that injury, then became very average very quickly.

Not so sure about that as several players and the manager have said that is what they have been focusing on in preseason.

Saw a hamstring mentioned somewhere. Also Etete, but haven't seen the nature of the problem that Collins has.
