The Taffs Well rope ferry operated between Ty'r Ffynnon farm (Ferry Farm) and the area behind the local school, seen to the right behind the tree branches. It was operated by the Saunders family for many years. The crossing was originally known as the Pentyrch ferry
It ferried workers from Taffs Well to the Pentyrch side to go to their jobs at the ironworks.

Lovely course mate. Ironically have never played Whitchurch around here, but will later this year.
Whitchurch is one of my favourites. Very easy start, then gets more tricky. Back 9 a bit bland tbh, but a nice course. Always enjoy playing there.

North Road Interchange under construction - 1969-1970, opened as Gabalfa Flyover on 10th March 1971.

An engineering marvel and still worth its weight in gold.

Could do with another one at least, at Llanederyn interchange and possibly another at Culver X?

I'm guessing there is a good number of African Muslims (Somalis?) represented there rather than from the middle East.

Yes, I believe the mosque was created by the Somali community.
