I only remember Orange buses me...And Asteys by the bus station. I notice they was still skanking people for change in the 70s though. I'd love to know how much extra money the cunts made over the years.

I've stuffed a fiver in the slot pissed up for a single to Llanederyn a few times and that's not even a euphemism for any kind of sexual activity.

I seen a score stuck in there once..Had crumpled a bit so wouldn't drop..I bet the driver fished it out when he got to the depot...I was upstairs smoking fags anyway back when life was sweet.

I think that Cardiff Buses experimented with a few new colours - such as the light and dark blues, below - before settling on orange. Perhaps it was a leftover from that time.

Owing to a shortage of vehicles in 1977 buses were hired in from all over the UK. This one came from Southend.

The Rummer Tavern in Duke Street is believed to be the city's oldest pub, with origins dating back to at least 1713. It served as a vital coaching inn in the 18th and 19th centuries, notably acting as a hub for the "Hero" coach service to Birmingham in 1840. The Tudor-style building is a renowned, historic local spot known for hauntings. Picture from 1971.
