He was an amazing player. Did he lack ambition? He could have played at a higher level, but his ambition seemed to be to simply be happy. He was humble, polite, the sort of child you would be proud to call a son even without the immense talent he had.
If he had arrogance, we wouldn't have had him for long. He would have moved on. An amazing player and one of life's good guys, and I think he will retain a place in the Cardiff City folklore for generations to come. For a couple of years, a free-kick was as good as winning a penalty.
