At least our politicians have come out asking for calm on all sides. Agree we in bed with USA big time in many ways, but on Iran we do have a differing of opinion to the US. Just need the world to see our politicians saying the right things and not get involved with military assistance for the next 4 years at least.

We learnt from Iraq. Trump isn’t learning from US’s past. While the military action can be considered ‘hard power’, across the world, the opinion of the US government decreased, which could lead to less ‘soft power’. This decrease in ‘soft power’ is being shown by our politicians calling for de-escalation
Hard power is usually by aggressive, forced means, usually military but can be economic. Soft power is by non-aggressive, attractive means, like culture and in the case I was on about, image or values of the US
Russia and China have also come out saying the same.
Thankfully there is nothing in that statement saying we supported the strike. Lets hope it stays that way
