My point was more that the starting lineup wasn't great - Etete and Davies? Add in the lack of press too.

The lineup and change to 4 at the back showed an utter lack of confidence in Simpson. The only defender we even had on the bench was Sang, a midfielder pretending to be a right back!

With regards I'd have thought that was more of a financial decision than a footballing one. He was supposedly one of the higher earners and given he wasn't a starter the club were probably happy to get him off the books to help them lay Kaba's wages
