He's fecked off to Italy on Whining Air, probably landed fairly close to Tuscany, in Albania. I wouldn't mind so much, only he's left the board's equivalent to Mungo in charge of settling bets.

He's working the bets out by counting empty cans, dividing them by ten, then not paying out on any winning wagers.

It's like trying to collect on a bet from the Mafia. I've got a holiday coming up and I need all the credits I can get to pay for it.

For me I think the monthly thing works well. Plenty of time to build credits back up after a big loss (especially with the Friday draws).

Not sure if a week gives enough time to really get it going.

As ever though, I’m happy to go with whatever the majority would prefer.

I concur with the Dr, I think monthly works pretty well, we’ve seen lots of changing of hands at the top during each month which makes it competitive whereas if it was weekly I’d win it every time as I wouldn’t have a chance to lose it all.

A big lead at the top for Caerphilly’s finest but as we know from previous months, things can change very quickly. The chasing pack of @stantys tattoos and @Melvin Udal will be looking to take advantage of any slip ups and there’s still plenty of time left for others to push themselves into contention.

I was looking at prize money the other day for a comp and the fact is that in the first week it's a wedge worth winning but by the second or third week it's just a meaningless amount of credits, hardly worth winning.

I wondered whether starting from zero every Monday morning, no paycheck payouts, everyone starting from scratch equally, then a frenzy of betting throughout the week, the wildcard of the Friday night 10 ticket lottery bonanza and a mad weekend leading up to declaring the winner on a Sunday night.

The whole point of the monthly paychecks is that people have a starting pot to bet with though. If we start on 0 then essentially we’d be waiting for a lottery win before we can place a bet. A couple of days without a win and you could be miles behind someone that gets a decent win first day and then puts on a couple of winning bets.

I get the point about the weekly prizes for the comps though. It’s not a perfect system but I’m not sure how you get around that. For me I think the monthly thing works about as well as it can. Maybe a weekly one would be better - who knows?

Maybe put up a poll and see what the general consensus is?
