"The EFL window begins from Sunday, June 1 but will only stay open for 10 days initially.

It will then close again until Monday, June 16 when it will remain open until deadline day on Monday, September 1.

The deadline has also been brought forward to 7pm, which means clubs will be required to complete deals before the usual 11pm cut-off point.

The EFL explained why the changes have been made for the upcoming window in an official update earlier this month.

It read: “Due to an additional FIFA Club World Cup registration period introduced ahead of the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, the EFL and its clubs have agreed that the summer transfer window shall operate for an additional 10-day period from Sunday, June 1 2025 to 19:00 on Tuesday, June 10 2025.

“This is due to the transfer window being unable to exceed a total of 89 days. "

Perish the thought anything might ever be simple.

Also, I don't know of a single person enthusiastic about this world club championship but FIFA are determined to try and get every single penny out of the game.

It’s a big deal for clubs outside of Europe tbf, the south american fans take it pretty seriously

They had a format already. I'm so indifferent to this bullshit I haven't even looked into how it works but heard it's more games.

Could be have done a job for us on a one year deal?

He looked a shadow of the player he was in our last game against Derby. Did a good job for Derby and captained them, but very much on the far side of the hill now.

Probably hampered by all the snow in Derby

The likes of Oxford and Wrexham poaching our top players and looking at championship cast offs, quite a fall from grace isn’t it :hehe:
Let's see if that happens though. May just be mischief making

Ah okay, didn’t catch that game. If he still had his pace and power he could have been an alright option off the bench in League One. We need a few characters

We got relegated.
Finished rock bottom of the league.
Wrexham leapfrogged us.
Teams we looked down upon just a season or two ago are rumoured to be pilfering our squad.

Just endless humiliation, and it's only just started.

Pace and power tend to fade by his age at the elite level and he's a pretty average player without those attributes
