Like I said, thats only what I heard. Presumably, money from Tan hasn't reached us so cant be "accounted" for perhaps? How would that affect us providing the EFL with reports about our finances?

Part of their job.Companies House search shows that the accounts for the football club and holding company were filed in March last year in line with the filing dates from previous years. Looks like the accountants have dropped a bollock and not filed them with the EFL as well.

Think that's a red herring, tbh. See club, trust statements. What are the plausible reasons for missing a deadline everyone else, including a host of clubs much smaller than ours, knew about and managed to adhere to then?
Trust board meanwhile seen wailing and gnashing their teeth that it wasn't something more meaty that could slate the board over to seem relevant.Trust Statement On Club Transfer Embargo
Today has seen the publication of a transfer embargo on our club by the EFL which has obviously caused a high degree of concern to all of us as supporters.
Having investigated the matter, both at club board level and elsewhere, the cause of this problem has been as follows:
It has been an administrative issue at the club's auditor which delayed the filing of the 2025 audited account where there was a change at short notice in partner to sign off the audit report. This has been rectified and the accounts will now be signed off early next week and the embargo notice withdrawn.
The club has confirmed that the embargo, because of the reason for it, has had no adverse impact on the club's transfer plans for this month which continue to be progressed
Just to stress that the embargo is no reflection of the club's financial position. It continues to be fully compliant with the EFL financial fair play rules and has headroom within them to support the manager in his transfer plans this month .

Not a red herring as the accounts were filed and presumably available from last March whatever the EFL requirement.Think that's a red herring, tbh. Your company filing date is a UK legal requirement.
EFL seem to insist on different date - which is understandable, as not all company / holding company will have the same filing date.
My guess is that means, in effect, EFL want figures calculated ahead of the next filing date, to cover this season and that for whatever reason, accountants didn't pass them on.
Business accounts aren't the same as EFL SCMP reports. Not a red herring as the accounts were filed and presumably available from last March whatever the EFL requirement.
So where does the end of December date come into play?Business accounts aren't the same as EFL SCMP reports.
If it were annual accounts, that's March NOT January. So chances are it's the updated mid-season submission - which obvious can't include business accounts for 25/26 as the year period hasn't ended.

Vicky from accounts is the one ccfcwelshlad is banging rightNo need to panic I am ITK and can confirm the problem is the clubs fax machine broke down last week and they are waiting for a new part to come from Temu to fix it
I also have it on very good authority that Vicky from accounts the only person who knows how to use said fax machine is back from maternity leave on 29th January so the EFL will get all the required information by 30th at the latest![]()

Sounds like the kind of made up misinformation Annis would spread tbhHow would that affect us providing the EFL with reports about our finances?
Having taken the L, I think TDA is right, the issue would be the accounts for the previous company financial year were not passed on in time based around the date - does make you wonder why EFL can't pull that info from Companies House, but whatever. These will be financial statements covering up to a particular date in the past. If it's aligned to our Companies House reporting (not sure, haven't checked), it will be a date quite a long way in the past. Either way, the state of our bank accounts will have been taken from the end of the period being reported. Money flowing to and from Tan now would not be part of the consideration.

Money from Tan would be an issue for a separate report due around Jan/Feb - as well as previous annual accounts, clubs have to provide a projection of figures in the summer then make a mid season report to give actual figures, indicating if the projection accurate or not. Theoretically, issues with Tan could affect that second report, but as someone else said, claims of Tan and money issues are the kind of things Anus the Hutt would come out with.
