That's where you would be relying on the Senate to do their bit.

Impeachment is a charge that is raised by the House. From there it goes to the Senate for trial, if the Senate don't vote to carry the charge it's just like being found innocent. Impeachment in itself means nothing really.

Look at this for example. People will be loving this, there's absolutely no chance this will be criticised or taken down from twitter but here is the incoming president basically saying his priority will be on everyone except white men.

Apparently this is not only OK to say but the RIGHT thing to say.

In my book it's every bit as reprehensible as half the shit Trump wrote, it's discrimination as plain as day it's just this time everyone will say how 'progressive' it is.

America has become so very ugly, divided beyond any form of repair. I'm afraid the time has passed when any one person can be elected as president and be expected to heal that partisan divide.
I don't blame Trump. That would be too easy, too simplistic. He's more a part of the symptoms of the societal problem, than the cause.
