I watched the last 5 mins out of morbid curiosity, like slowing down to have a look at a serous road accident, and the first thing I saw was Ruth Jones, who I would wager has never been to a game of club rugger in her entire life, celebrating wales scoring a touchdown as if they’d won a World Cup, even though wales were about 50 points down.

They've essentially just been on general sale for years. Clubs still get preferential treatment but don't buy that many tickets anymore as seen as a liability rather than an asset now they're so obscenely expensive

In the old days yes. Now the price of tickets doesn't justify the risk of not selling them. When they were twenty /third quid they could charge more easy enough especially when they're doing well. Used to be a nice little earner.

Now the cheapest tickets can be £80+ and freely available on the open market so clubs are risk averse after having been in significant debt previously. Another reason Welsh rugby is dying on its arse.

When people see the atmosphere myth for what it is these days the WRU are in real trouble. That said they were calling the Mill Stad a cauldron today even though the loudest singing was Swing Low
