I work in Prescoed jail now and then. It's a lovely part of the World there. Jeanne was in Parc Prison up until a couple of months ago. I did the water in his cell. I'm a big believer in speaking as you find as he was sound tbf. Just another bloke.

Nah. British jalls are not like American ones. The Welsh ones at least are not particularly dangerous places. You get the odd lippy cunt trying it on but mostly the prisoners are pretty sound.
You have escorts with you. They lurk around outside the cell. In Parc a lot of them are ex officers but in the other jails they're just mininum wage old blokes. They're not really there for your protection they're there to show you where to go mostly.
Usually you are there to improve a cell so most prisoners are pretty placid. I've worked with challenging behaviour all my life until I retrained so it don't really bother me.
They are always asking you to drill holes in their speakers for them, or turn the temperature of the water up or down, beyond the limits of what you're allowed to do.
They just ask you stupid shit, just to ask you stuff mostly.

That's the most usual conversation you'll have.
Or it will be asking you if you know people from somewhere. That's actually probably the most common.
