Back from France.

The pound buys you fuck all.

Heavily edited, but to back this up I have just checked our bank account and two coffees and cakes at a local boulangerie which cost 8,60€ have been charged through at £8.17.

At Euro introduction in 2002, that would have been £5.40.

Sorry I missed the reply. Really felt it this time plus we stayed longer. We were coming over for Christmas but thats cancelled now. Its just a bit much at the minute. I think its going to be hard this year. Maybe next year as well They still want their taxes though so i will try and get out tbere. Might as well if paying for it.
