Bale interview

Madrid was a disaster at the end, but let's be honest, he spat the dummy when they wanted a transfer fee for him to go to China. Not Germany, England, Italy... but China for the money. Return to prem with Spurs showed he couldn't cope with better teams - goals, assists all against lesser sides. Fleecing MLS?

The guy killed his career, got his WC moment imo at the expense of getting out of the goup.

don't seem like you liked him very much :hehe:

In his prime, one of the best players I've ever seen.
Fell of the cliff quite quickly around 30, became pre-occupied with money rather than playing.

Would've been better for Wales if he'd come to us - been in daily contact with the Welsh fitness/medical team - but we dodged a massive bullet there.

Now, I’m no ballistics expert or nothing, but I would imagine it’s easier to dodge a massive bullet than a normal size one. Relatively speaking like.

But if it hits you you're doubly fucked

I watched this the other week Joe its a great interview and Gareth is such a grounded and honest person. Ancelloti is his favourite coach and speaks highly about Chris Coleman as Welsh manager. puts his kids and missus above continuing playing football
So one of the best footballers in the world say Chris Coleman is the best manager in the world.
Nuggles been saying this for years now

Aye famously didn’t cope when he went back to spurs, he only scored 11 goals in 20 games!

Watch the interview, kept an injury secret almost all his career, for what he did it’s amazing he managed to keep playing as long as he did

Aye, famously coped with better teams.

His goals came against Brighton, Burnley, Palace, Southampton, Sheff Utd and Leicester. None of whom would qualify as being "better teams". Mourinho sussed him out.

So he had this super secret back injury (which teams knew about), that caused other injuries yet nobody performed surgery on it.
Interesting.

Does it get tiring being so cynical? :hehe:

Related to Pikey....Always destined for greatness

There really is no respect for Coleman on tjos forum.
He was exceptional. 6 ft 3 Command a dressing room. An absolute lad. Drunk driving...training ground bust ups, dishing out slaps, he could do the lot to give him his dues.
