That’s ok if you have things to do in the afternoon, but what if you have things to do in the morning?Why is a 12:30 kickoff considered a bad time for attendance? The match is over at 2:30 and you have the rest of the afternoon and evening to get anything accomplished.

As @ccfcwelshlad said, mini / junior (ages 7-16) football in Cardiff is played on Saturday morning between around 9-12 which makes getting to the city game more difficult for those involved, players, parents, coaches etc.
Also for lots of fans the game itself is just a part of the day. Maybe going for breakfast at a local cafe in the morning, meeting friends in the pub for a few pre match pints at lunch time is part of the matchday experience. And that’s just home games. Getting to places like Bradford or Blackpool for an early kick off is a right pain in the arse.
