Bloody hell. You'd imagine that'll leave Lincoln fucked. Assuming Bristol are spending a fortune on him - no offence to Skubala but I hope they crash and burn
Lincoln forum is disappointed but they have faith in the structure of the club to have a succession plan.

The polar opposite of what we are used to.

That's interesting - I still suspect they're in for a bit of an awakening as not used to Championship. Wouldn't be surprised to see them lose a few players too. Wish them well mind

They have immediately promoted the two assistant head coaches (Cohen and Shaw) to be joint head coach. The commentary is that they were the brains behind the tactics last season.

Uncharted waters and a bold decision. Good luck to them.

Joint coaches doesn't always work. Tactics are important but if they can't man manage well I think they'll struggle as they won't have things their own way as much next season.

The worzels never quite seem to be able to pick the right manager. They’ve had some very good players over recent seasons but they constantly seem to start the season well before inevitably falling away. I’ve got nothing against Skubala but I hope this continues.

How many times have we heard that suggestion. Successful teams almost always need both. Wales under Coleman / Paul Trollope / Osian Roberts is a perfect example.

It's a bit different becoming the lead dog. More failures than successes. All sorts of different distractions and pressures from being a background coach.

Agree. You have to wonder why, if suggested, the coaches were the ‘brains behind’ Lincoln’s success, why Skubala didn’t take them with him.

It’ll be interesting to see how Skubala and the coaches at Lincoln get on.

From what I read Lincoln were resigned to losing Skubala at some point and had the succession already lined up. Cohen and Shaw have been part of the Lincoln structure on and off under different head coaches. Can't remember the exact details, one or other or both has had more than one spell at the club.

The new DoF at the Wurzels, James Ellis, and Skubala worked together for five years in the university (Loughborough?) set up and I think that was the prime motivation behind the move.
