Cardiff City are set to make their second signing of the summer in the form of Arsenal right back Jordi Osei-Tutu.
The Bluebirds need to reinforce that right-back area following the departures of Lee Peltier, Jazz Richards and Cameron Coxe and have moved swiftly to do just that by signing the Gunners youngster.
He underwent a medical on Tuesday morning and an announcement is imminent... but just who is he and what will he bring this season?
We take a closer look.
Who?
Jordi Osei-Tutu is an Arsenal academy product, having moved to the north London club from Reading aged just 16.
The 5ft 9ins right back, who was born in Slough and has Ghanaian heritage, is 21 and can play as a full back or on the wing.
Other loan spells?
Osei-Tutu is yet to play for the Arsenal first team and, as such, the club thought it best to send him out on loan last season.
He enjoyed regular game time with VFL Bochum in the German second tier, where his attacking prowess came to the fore.
While he began his loan spell with the German club at right back, manager Thomas Reis thought he could benefit the team further up the pitch and began employing him on the right wing halfway through the season.
It is there where he had great success, scoring four goals and providing two assists in a stretch of 10 games to propel Bochum up the table. They finished the season in eighth.
Last July, having just penned a season-long loan with Bochum, Osei-Tutu was the subject of alleged racist abuse.
The defender, while playing a pre-season friendly against Swiss outfit St Gallen, become embroiled in an exchange with Sliman Kchouk. who had just scored for the opposition.
Osei-Tutu then, visibly distressed, made a beeline for the centre circle and remonstrated with the referee before storming off the pitch.
The defender is said to have been fighting off tears as he exited the pitch, even shrugging off team-mates and coaching staff who were trying to console him.
The player did eventually compose himself and return, but later took to Instagram to post an emotional thank-you message for the support he had received.
"Thank you for all the supporting messages," he wrote on Instagram.
"It is deeply sad that this sort of behaviour is still part of the game but it is what it is, it will NEVER stop me playing, it will NEVER stop me achieving my goals and it certainly won’t stop me from excelling on my loan move and having a successful season with VFL Bochum."
It is testament to the strength of his character that he went on to have such a terrific season with the German club.
