Burj al babas Turkey. Nestled in a rural mountainous spot, halfway between Istanbul and Ankara, this abandoned development is a surreal sight to behold. Hundreds of mini chateaux, in various stages of completion, stand in a deathly silent valley after funding for the project dried up.

Ashgabat in Turkmenistan is almost a totally uninhabited ghost town, incredible.

Not too sure but it's something to do with the oppressive regime there, akin to North Korea, the city was built in the middle of a desert and the surrounding population being mainly peasants, didn't move there. I'm not 100% mind, this country is hard to get any info about, like North Korea.

Thirty-three metres below Clapham is a network of tunnels which were built as bomb shelters during the Second World War. The tunnels are 430 metres long, and could accommodate 8,000 people at the height of the Blitz.
