England and Wales have Nations League fixtures to look forward to in a busy week but before that they have arguably the perfect warm-up at Wembley on Thursday.

The friendly marks the first time the teams have met since Daniel Sturridge squeezed home a late winner in England’s 2-1 win at Euro 2016, when England suffered an early exit at the hands of Iceland and Wales went on to reach the semi-finals before losing to Portugal.

Both nations have gone through wholesale changes since that afternoon in Lens and will be aiming to set the tone ahead of their respective Nations League commitments, which take Wales to Bulgaria and Iceland while England entertain Belgium and Denmark.

Hard to be optimistic without Bale and Rambo. Hopefully a good learning experience for the youngsters

Listening to EJFOF earlier and Gabbs suggested going 5 at the back. That would make a lot of sense as we are pretty strong at centre half and it would allow Roberts / Williams and Davies to get forward and get some crosses into Kieffer.

We’ve not conceded a goal in the last 4 games. Sit back and let englund try and break us down and BAM, hit em on the break.

Roberts Rodon Mepham Cabango Davies

........Brooks Ampadu Morell James

......................Moore

Agree there. A very young and inexperienced side, but this match is no lose for us as I see it.

Get any kind of a result and it will be a huge boost for the whole squad but particularly the kids. Get a tonking and it's a massive lesson and valuable experience against a higher ranked side with loads more caps.

The youth element might just lead them to play with no fear.

I hope Slabhead + Trent-whatsit plays for them:thumbup:

Better get a market together

Just noticed that Ronaldo played for Portugal tonight. What’s going on there then ???

Is the game on terrestrial?

All England games are on ITV. I hate football on ITV. It’s also on S4C
Cheers. I'll watch it on S4C, less jingoism and being patronized and it'll help keep my Welsh up to scratch
