I'm trying to make the forum look a bit more like "social media" where each topic has an image to entice lurkers into the thread.

As TDA correctly pointed out, I've set it so the forum takes the first image it finds in the thread and uses it for the thumbnail in the thread list, so if you create a thread and want a specific image to show up, make sure you include the image in your post.

Anyone want to tell me specifically what they don't like about it, other than it being different to what you normally see and your 'tism is flaring up?

Ok, as an example, I’m not sure the thumbnail “riddled cockney” is the best way to advertise our pre-season tour

@kernel will there be an option to choose an image as a thumbnail for the thread or will it just default to first/last image used in the thread?

It always used to be if you include an image in the starting post (even if you make it tiny at the bottom) it will be set as the thumbnail.
