A well earned Merlot followed by a cheeky single malt. Tomorrow is my first day off for three weeks. Although my under 8’s are playing in a tournament tomorrow, so I’ll be dealing with Haribo-fuelled hyperactivity!

I was designated driver last night as we went to the beech tree inn in wenvoe.

I had a terrible meal there last time I went. Never going again cause it was shit the time before that but I gave em benefit of the doubt cause it was good s few years ago. Overpriced bollocks.

Strange. It's one of our favourite places.
The early bird menu of £17,95 for 3 courses is fair I think.
The fish is lovely there.
The chips were shit yesterday mind but that's the only complaint I've had about the place.

The A La Carte menu I eat off mate.. Duck breast with flabby uncooked skin mun. Basic cooking no no 101 there. Hake raw in the middle. Steak n chips £27 with chips you can't eat. I could go on. The fried fish cheapo option you go for is OK though I agree.

After Thursday's football-induced drinking session, I was hungover all through work yesterday.

So the evening only consisted of 1 pint of Cruzcampo. I'll make up for that today.
