Off-Topic GLAMMY

I'm sure I wasn't the only Glamorgan fan who missed their innings because I'd assumed there'd be no play all day. Watched the Somerset innings though and Glamorgan went from looking completely in charge to being second favourites within about ten minutes, only for Douthwaite, McIlroy and Gorvin to keep their nerve with some fine bowling right at the death.

We've been very inconsistent in the T20 game this season and the County Championship has been a bit of a non event, but this win means that the season has to be seen as a success - well done to all involved.

11am start tomorrow with a good weather forecast. Free entry for anyone interested.

Would've gone down for that if I'd seen this.

Do you know what the scores were?
They had a report of the first day's play on Sunday on the website yesterday morning, but when I looked for details of yesterday's play in the evening, the original report had been taken down and there was nothing at all on there about the second day - the Cardiff University friendly game has been streamed in recent years, but they're only streaming county games this year, but it would appear that they don't like any details iof the friendlies they play getting out this year - maybe the new coiach is a stickler for secrecy!

The report on the first day's play I read said Glamorgan had scored something like 366-5 declared with Northeast scoring a hundred and Ingram getting a fifty and the University were 24-0 I think it was in reply - I've not a clue what's happened since then.

Thanks TOBW.

Dang, that could've been anyone's game based on those scores.

Strange about the secrecy, when thr public were free to enter, and in fact it was free to enter.

They'll have to record it somewhere (unless they got an absolute hammering)

:hehe:
