He did have one impressive run from defence to just outside their box but held onto the ball far too long and got tackled when he could've passed it out wide to Mendez-Laing. Other than that I didn't really notice him. Someone said he was marking De Bruyne, but he never seemed to have anyone on him as he attacked at pace through the middle..

Yeah but we haven't yet seen anything from the lad that justifies the hype when we were signing him and he has to play a minimum amount of games for us too.

I sincerely hope he improves because we've got a lot of tough games from now until May and plenty of other teams looking for a playoff spot.

Like I said, I don't think he was any worse than anyone else in midfield yesterday. I was very disappointed in Paterson & Ralls. If anyone is not living up to the hyped reputation, it's Paterson. Very limited in terms of skill on the ball and defensive ability.

Like I said, I don't think he was any worse than anyone else in midfield yesterday. I was very disappointed in Paterson & Ralls. If anyone is not living up to the hyped reputation, it's Paterson. Very limited in terms of skill on the ball and defensive ability.

A few of the players looked a little "leggy" yesterday and have done for a few weeks. Either our fitness training is not up to scratch or the tactics have too much for the players to cope with in terms of closing down as the season seems to be taking it's toll.

How can a club state he HAS to play. What a fucking joke. The club should never have taken him. What if he is garbage and a liability? Can we send him back?

That could just be down to how it's been reported. Perhaps we're getting him very cheaply/free on the expectation that he plays. If he doesn't play then we pay a normal loan fee like other clubs would.

Only speculation mind. We could be paying £2million for the luxury of him being the first name on the team sheet every week.
