Hansen was good but seemed to hate his job the last few years. Could be a one trick pony but stuck the boot instead of making excuses for players all the time.
Most of the current crop are decent enough but never say anything too harsh probably because they'd get harassed on social media by cretins.
Shearer sometimes does co-commentary on the Amazon games. And he's actually alright on there. But, what is easy to notice is that there is a huge gap in analysis in real time compared to in the studio. I know that's to be expected, but how much of that analysis is done by Shearer and the like, and how much is done for them.
Wright is barely insightful as a pundit, he's enjoyable, but not insightful. I don't mind Dion Dublin who seems like a nice enough bloke.
There's not many pundits around that I feel are worth listening to. Graham Taylor used to be brilliant on Radio 5.
Love that video. I think MOTD had hardly any half-time analysis. Jimmy Hill used to be the sole presenter in the 70s.
Most of them are nice chaps but lacking a big personality.

A really likeable pundit and an excellent striker back in the 90s.
He’s been more involved with Sky recently too, seems to be really good mates with Roy Keane and gets on with Neville and Carragher, imagine he may do a bit more there. Better money as well you’d think.

2 Pundits - Harder one to pick. Didn't like Hansen, Brooking, Hill, Lawrenson, Shearer, Wrighty. To be honest, I usually skip that part. But, if I am picking two then it will be Hansen and Hill, just because Hansen used to always seem pissed off with whatever Hill said. In fairness Jimmy Hill did a lot for the modern game in this country - yes he talked out of his arse, but don't they all?

I liked Jimmy Hill. Yes he could talk out if his arse but he talked from a position if knowledge, wasn't afraid to have a contrary opinion or argue his case. Been too matey matey for a while.
