Typical usage and costs of appliances.

I might get an airfryer actually and save on the oven.
I was thinking of getting one before, anyone got one?

Think how much I’ll save with my new kettle :sherlock:

In all seriousness, good thread this Nuge

What size is yours mate? How often do you use it

Good idea.

There may just be an actual human being in there somewhere after all.
I did do a DIY sos and put 4 of my lads on there.
I'm all heart me:hehe:

Prevent the following from occurring:
Gas hob left on when no one home 8 hrs
Gas hob left on when no one home 6 hrs x2
Oven left on all day 7am-7pm with nothing in it x8
Lights turned on in whichever room they’re in regardless of time of day and left on when they leave
Heating turned on in middle of summer when outside temperature was 21°C
Only take baths
Boil a full kettle for one cup of tea and walk off, come back 5 minutes later and reboil it
Microwave everything, including yogurts
Put the washing machine on for one T-shirt
Get Glos Blue’s wallet and set fire to the contents

Seriously though, good thread @Nugent , no doubt will help everyone save a couple of quid.

I have this one Nuge, and recommend it

Amazon product ASIN B08JCKBT5G
Use it as a pressure cooker, air fryer and slow cooker mostly. Can be a bit of a faff to get everything together. Most slow cooked meals are about 6-7 hours, and I don't really think it uses as much as it says above.

Ours is a Tefal 1kg one. Not massive but great for what we need. I probably use it 4 or 5 times a week. It’s great for jacket potatoes, meatballs, chips for the kids. To be fair, anything I cook in there is much nicer than the equivalent done in the oven or microwave.

I haven’t gone massively adventurous with it but there are groups on FB where people put all sorts of recipes up.

I was thinking about something this morning. When I started school in 1980, the school still had the old stickers up about saving energy and I reckon that was from the 70s.

Ever since I was a kid, I would turn off lights and so on to save electricity.

Reading all the above has got my nerves on end Glos. I can move in if you like. :hehe:

I use a little bit of oil when I make chips - but that is once a week or once a fortnight. Bit of oil, bit of paprika - really nice. Also started to make sweet potato chips - very nice.

BTW - who leaves a toaster on for an hour.... apart from Glos' guests?
